Broncos Lose First Game of Conference Tournament

SAN DIEGO – Boise State softball lost 6-4 to San Jose State in Game 3 of the Mountain West Softball Championship, Thursday afternoon.
The Spartans (25-26) were the first to get on the board with a run in the second inning. The Broncos (31-16) tied the game with a sacrifice fly from Eliyah
Flores in the bottom of the third, and took a 2-1 lead when Alycia Flores knocked a solo home run the following inning.
San Jose State scored twice in the top of the fifth, but Kelsey Hall hit an RBI-single in the bottom of the frame to tie the game 3-3.
Abby Bumcrot regained the lead for the Broncos in the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly, but the Spartans scored three runs in the seventh to walk away with the win.
Lindsey Walljasper (13-6) took the loss in relief for the Broncos.
