TUCSON, Ariz. – Boise State men's tennis fell 4-0 to the 15th-ranked Arizona Wildcats in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Tucson. The loss ends the Broncos' season at 21-8 overall.

Caden Moortgat and Idriss Haddouch led the Broncos with a 6-2 win in doubles on court two. But the Wildcats took the team point with wins at No. 1 and 3 doubles.

Arizona then claimed three-straight victories in singles to clinch the match. The Wildcats won at No. 5, 4 and 1 singles, respectively.

Notables

This marked the 19th trip for the Broncos to the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 7-19.
This year marked the first time in program history the Broncos advanced to the national tournament in the first year of a new head coach (Luke Shields).
Boise State still holds the lead in the all-time series with Arizona 6-3.
Simon Arca Costas saw his 24-match winning streak come to an end with the loss today…he finishes the season at 33-6, third most in history between head coach Luke Shields' 35 which he accomplished twice.
Arca Costas finished his career with 104 victories, fifth all-time, and ranked tied for sixth for combined (singles and doubles) career wins with 181.
Moorgat earned his 19th doubles win of the year while Haddouch collected his fifth.

What's Next

The loss ended the Mountain West Conference Champion's season.
