BOISE, Idaho – Luke Shields, Boise State Head Men's Tennis Coach, announced today the addition of two new recruits, Liam Oliver (Los Angeles) and Kyvan Rietkerk (Zoetermeer, The Netherlands), to the 2023-24 roster. The combination of the two newcomers for next fall earned the Broncos the No. seven ranking for a mid-major recruiting class by the Tennis Recruiting Network.

"I'm really happy with this class," said Shields. "Adding two individuals that have a lot of experience. Their work ethic is what stood out. Both of these incoming freshmen will bring the intensity and effort to keep advancing.

"Liam is a special talent. He has a very high ceiling. Both are good team players and high-character individuals. It's good to see Boise State tennis back in the mix nationally with a great recruiting class.  Kyvan is well respected in Europe, being the #2 junior tennis player from The Netherlands for most of his junior career."

Liam Oliver, a native of Los Angeles, is a top-25 U.S. junior recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net and has a career-high UTR ranking of 12.26.

Rietkerk will come to Boise from The Netherlands, where he won the Dutch National Championships in both singles and doubles as a junior player. He also won the 2021 ITF J5 Championship in Heiveld, Belgium. Rietkerk is ranked No. 2 for the Dutch U18 class with a career-high ITF ranking of 155.
