BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's soccer won 2-0 in its exhibition match against College of Idaho, Friday evening at the Boas Soccer Complex.

Carly Cross scored both goals for the Broncos unassisted. The forward's first goal of the game came just over three minutes into the first half, with the second coming in the second half at the 60th minute mark.

Quotable

  • "You normally don't have everything figured out the first week together," said head coach Jim Thomas. "So to have a test like that against a great team like College of Idaho, who's picked to win its league and go deep in the national tournament, and put into motion the areas we've been working on is really great for us."

Top Broncos

  • Carly Cross led the way offensively for Boise State, taking three shots with all on goal and scoring both goals.
  • Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw racked up five saves on the night.

Notables

  • The Blue and Orange outshot the Yotes 14 to six in the match, with nine coming from the second half.
  • Junior forward Kenzie MacMillan took four shots, the most for the Broncos, with two on goal.
