Boise State Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Adds 15 to the Roster

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women's cross country and track and field team welcomes 15 new student-athletes to their roster.
 
This incoming class consists of athletes from eight different states, as well as from Germany and Israel.
 
"I am really excited about this group of athletes as we enter the year," head coach Corey Ihmels said. "We were able to assemble a great group that will add depth to our team in many different areas. Our coaches did an awesome job of evaluating and finding athletes that fit well in our environment and that will help us reach our program goals."
 
Hanna Ackermann (Bichl, Germany)
3,000m – 10:03.11 | 2,000m Steeplechase – 6:52.19
Ackermann is an incoming freshman from Germany. At the 2023 U20 German Championships, she took home fourth in the 2,000m Steeplechase.
 
Bianca Böhnke (Waiblingen, Germany)
800m – 2:12.35 | 1,500m – 4:31.41 | 3,000m – 9:45.98
Böhnke joins the Broncos from Germany. At the 2023 U20 German Championships, the incoming freshman placed fourth in the 1,500m.
 
Eloise Bolles (Wenatchee, Wash. | Wenatchee, HS)
300m Hurdles – 46.56 | 400m – 1:00.74
Bolles is a sprinter who joins Boise State from Wenatchee High School in Washington. She placed first in the 400m at the USATF Inland Northwest Association Junior Olympic Championships and ninth at the USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Championships.
 
Alyssa Bronander (Reno, Nev. | Galena HS)
800m – 2:22.16 | 1,600m – 5:05.33 | 3,200m – 10:58.62
Bronander joins the Broncos from Galena High School located in Reno, Nev. The incoming freshman took fourth in the 1,600m, 3,200m and 5,000m at the Nevada 5A State Championships this past season.
 
Ciara Brown (Meridian, Idaho | Rocky Mountain HS)
100m – 12.28 | 200m – 25.31 | 400m - 57.19
Brown is an Idaho local coming from Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian. This sprinter earned state rankings of seventh, eighth and fourth in the 100m, 200m and 400m, respectively. This past season she took second in both the 200m and 400m at the IHSAA Track Field Championships 4A-5A.
 
Janiah Brown (Calabasas, Calif. | USC)
400m - 56.06 | 800m – 2:06.04 | 1,500m – 4:32.42
Brown joins the Broncos as a transfer from USC. This last season, she took home 10th at the Pac-12 Track & Field Championships in the 800m. She also qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds for the 800m in 2022 and 2023.
 
Gabriella Chiara (Scottsdale, Ariz. | Pinnacle HS)
400m – 58.09 | 600m – 1:36.06 | 800m – 2:10.21
Chiara is an incoming freshman from Pinnacle High School in Arizona. She is a two-time Arizona State Champion in the 800m and is ranked first in the state and 60th nationally for that event. 
 
Gabbie Hasskamp (Missoula, Mont. | Northern Arizona University)
200m – 26.36 | 800m – 2:32.65 | 60m Hurdles – 9.33 | 100m Hurdles – 15.16 | High Jump – 1.61m | Long Jump – 5.15m | Shot Put – 9.78m | Javelin – 32.79m | Pentathlon – 3259 | Heptathlon – 4288
Hasskamp, originally from Missoula, Mont., comes to Boise State after spending her freshman year at Northern Arizona. She placed fifth in the Pentathlon at the Ron Mann Classic and seventh in the Heptathlon at the 2023 Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
Emily Jobes (Bethlehem, Pa. | Pitt) 
3,000m – 9:58.45 | 3,000m Steeplechase – 10:43.16 | 5,000m – 17:19.60
Jobes is originally from Bethlehem, Pa. and is transferring to Boise State after completing her first two years at Pitt. There, she placed 14th in the 3,000m Steeplechase at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Julia Kiesler (Columbus, Ind. | Columbus North HS)
800m – 2:29.08 | 1,600m – 5:04.29 | 3,200m – 10:27.15
Kiesler comes to Boise State from Columbus North High School. This distance runner is ranked fifth in the state and No. 41 in the nation for the 3,200m. The Indiana native achieved her new personal-best in the 3,200m this past season at the IHSAA Girls State Track & Field Meet and took third.
 
Alexee Kline (Idaho City, Idaho | College of the Redwoods)
Hammer Throw – 141-9.25 | Javelin – 115-2.25
Kline joins the Broncos after two years at College of the Redwoods. The California native placed first in Discus and Hammer Throw at the CVC Championships. She also placed third for Javelin at the 2023 Northern California Championship Finals.
 
Amit Koma (Midreshet Ben-Gurion, Israel)
3,000m – 10:11.76 | 5,000m – 17:26.76
Koma comes in as a graduate transfer from Israel and placed top-50 in the 2023 European Cross Country Championships.
 
McKenna Murphy (Aliso Viejo, Calif. | Aliso Niguel HS)
400m – 58.66
Murphy comes to Boise State from Aliso Niguel High School. In 2019, Murphy came in fourth at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Prelims in the 400m.
 
Ruby Sereday (Kelso, Wash. | Kelso Senior HS)
Javelin – 130-4
Sereday is an incoming freshman from Kelso Senior High School in Washington. At the WIAA 2A, 3A, 4A State Championship Meet, Sereday achieved a new personal best and placed first in Javelin. At the same meet, she also achieved PRs in Shot Put and Discus, taking home fifth and 18th, respectively.
 
Addie Winter (Montesano, Wash. | Montesano HS)
Javelin – 112-3
Winter joins Boise State from Montesano High School located in Washington. She took home fourth place for Javelin at the 2023 1A District 4 Championships.
