
Boise State Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field Adds 11 to the Roster

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men's cross country and track and field team welcomes 11 new Broncos to their team.
This incoming class consists of athletes from Colorado, Idaho and California, as well as others from England, Scotland and Morocco.
"I am really excited about this group of athletes as we enter the year," head coach Corey Ihmels said. "We were able to assemble a great group that will add depth to our team in many different areas. Our coaches did an awesome job of evaluating and finding athletes that fit well in our environment and that will help us reach our program goals."
Brett Bronson (Kimberly, Idaho | Idaho State)
100m – 10.74 | 200m – 21.58 | 400m – 47.59
Bronson comes to the Broncos after spending his freshman year at Idaho State. As a Bengal, he placed ninth in the 400m at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Trevor Cogley (Couer d'Alene, Idaho | Lake City HS)
200m – 21.96 | 400m – 48.11
Cogley is an Idaho native from Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene. He placed first in the 200m at the 4A/5A District 1/2 Regional Championship for Idaho. He also placed fifth in the same event at the USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Championships. In the 400m, Cogley placed first at both the 4A/5A District 1/2 Regional Championship and the USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Championships. He ranks first in Idaho for the 400m.
John Dailey (Rocklin, Calif. | Whitney HS)
200m – 22.54 | 400m – 48.40
Dailey joins the Broncos as a sprinter from Whitney High School in Rocklin, Calif. He placed 19th in the 400m at the 2023 CIF-State Track & Field Championships and ranked No. 25 in the state for the event.
Josh Dickinson (York, England |Leeds City AC)
1,500m – 3:46.18| 3,000m – 7:54.90 | 5,000m – 13:46.94
Dickinson comes to Boise State from Great Britain as a graduate transfer. He took 13th in the 5,000m at the 2023 UK Athletics Championships Manchester. Dickinson also took home a fifth-place finish at the English Cross Country Championships. This past year, Dickinson ranked fourth in the 5,000m and fifth in the 3,000m for all U23 athletes from the UK.
Jake Drever (Gypsum, Colo. | Eagle Valley HS)
800m – 1:56.08 | 1,600m – 4:21.12 | 3,200m – 9:10.20
Drever comes to Boise State from Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum, Colo. This past season, he took fifth at the 4A Colorado State Cross Country Championships. Drever also achieved a PR in the 800m and placed 10th at the Colorado State Track and Field Championships. The incoming freshman was named Colorado 4A First Team All-State Runner in 2022 as well.
Christian Graham (Edinburgh, Scotland | Dundee University)
3,000m – 8:29 | 5,000m – 14:21.07
Graham is a graduate transfer coming from Dundee University. The Scotland native placed 13th at the 2023 Lindsays Scottish National Championships for Cross Country.
Tom Graham-Marr (Stirling, Scotland | University of Aberdeen)
1,500m – 3:49.13 | 3,000m – 8:16.74 | 5,000m – 14:17.19
Graham-Marr is from Scotland and joins the Broncos as a graduate transfer. The distance runner took home a second-place finish at the 2022 Scottish Cross Country Short Course.
Anass Mghari (Oujda, Morocco|Oklahoma)
800m – 1:48.45 | 1,000m – 2:23.50
Mghari is originally from Morocco and is coming to Boise State as a transfer from Oklahoma. There, he specialized in the 800m and took fourth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships. He then went on to take 15th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round.
Tom Patrick (Hertfordshire, England)
1,500m – 3:44.39 | 3,000m – 8:04.62
Patrick is a Great Britain native joining the Broncos this upcoming season. The graduate transfer qualified for the 2023 British Championships for the 1,500m last month. He ranks No. 14 in both the 1,500m and 3,000m for all U23 athletes from the UK in 2023.
Ned Potter (Chichester, England| Loughborough University)
3,000m – 8:02.56 | 5,000m – 13:53.48
Potter joins the Broncos as a graduate transfer from England. He recently placed fourth at BUCS Cross Country Championships earlier this year. Potter also represented Great Britain in the mixed relay at the World University Cross Country Championships that took home second. This past year, Potter ranked sixth in the 5,000m and No. 14 in the 3,000m for all U23 athletes from the UK.
Fraser Sproul (Cumbria, England |Sedbergh School)
1,500m – 4:17.6 | 3,000m – 8:28.62 | 3 Mile – 15:40 | 5k – 15:12
Sproul is an incoming freshman from Great Britain. In 2022, he won first at the Northern Schools' Inter Counties Championships. The same year, Sproul also took third at the English Schools Cross Country Championships. The incoming Bronco is a 2020 English Schools Cross Country Champion.
