Broncos Predicted Fourth In Preseason Poll

BOISE, Idaho – The Mountain West announced the predicted order of finish for men's and women's cross country as voted on by coaches in the conference, Thursday. The Boise State women and men's team were both predicted to finish fourth.
 
The women's team received 72 points, finishing above Wyoming (63), Air Force (62), Nevada (45), Fresno State (29), San Diego State (27), UNLV (26) and San Jose State (13).
 
On the men's side, the Broncos received 44 votes, placing above Wyoming (37), New Mexico (31), Nevada (23), San Jose State (12) and Fresno State (11).
 
Boise State opens its season in San Francisco, Calif., at the USF Cross Country Invitational, Sept. 1, and will compete in two additional invitationals before turning its focus to the conference championships.
 
The MW Championships will be hosted by Boise State in Eagle, Idaho, Oct. 27, the first the Broncos have hosted the event since 2016.
