
Boise State Sweeps Idaho State in Season Opener

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State's volleyball team opened the season Friday night with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 32-30) sweep over instate-rival Idaho State in front of a sellout crowd of 1,397 in Bronco Gym.

Boise State dominated the first two sets, winning each by double digits. The Broncos hit .357Â and held the Bengals to a -.015 during the two periods.Â

Set three was a battle between the two rivals as the match reached 30 points before the Broncos took the set 32-30 to clinch the sweep. The Bengals hit a match-high .360 percent in the third as the Blue and Orange countered at .347. The decisive points came from Chey Day and Paige Bartsch, who brought the victory home with block assists.
