
Lombard Named Beach Volleyball Assistant Coach

BOISE, Idaho – Jayelin Lombard has joined the Boise State beach volleyball program as an assistant coach, head coach Allison Voigt announced, Wednesday.
"I'm very excited to have Jayelin be a part of this program," Voigt said. "She has a wealth of knowledge and experience as a player at a very good program, and we're looking forward to those elements helping us out on the coaching side as we aim for a conference championship. She's a perfect fit for our program and we're really excited to have her here."
Lombard joins the staff after playing collegiately for five years at Cal Poly. She led the Mustangs to three-straight Big West titles during her tenure, resulting in three NCAA National Championship appearances.
The Indio, Calif,. native accumulated 92 wins during her career as a Mustang, the third-most in program history. She was a four-time All-Big West honoree, three of which included first-team accolades. She collected over 20 wins over ranked opponents over the course of her career. Lombard graduated in the spring of 2023 with a degree in psychology.
Before joining Cal Poly, Lombard was a member of the U19 Girls Junior Beach Championships in 2017 and a finalist at the 2016 FIBA World Championship trials.
"I'm very excited to be here at Boise State," Lombard said. "I've been amazed at how welcoming and communicative everyone has been. This program is trending in a really exciting direction and I'm excited to help this team continue to grow and achieve its goals."
The Broncos will kick off their fall season Oct. 7 at the Alki Pairs Tournament in Seattle, Wash. Boise State will host the second annual City of Trees Classic, Oct.21-22, at the Boise State Beach Volleyball Complex.
