Rueck Leads Broncos in Kansas

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Cole Rueck notched back-to-back top-25 finishes to open the season, as he led the Boise State men's golf team with a T-22 showing at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational. The 54-hole tournament concluded Monday at the Colbert Hills Golf Club.

Rueck carded rounds of 70-73-75 (218, +2) to finish in the top spot of the Bronco lineup for the second time in his career.

Boise State finished 11th as a team with a 54-hole score of 885 (295-287-303, +21).

This is the first time Cole Rueck has led the Bronco lineup since he was top scorer at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational (April 4, 2023).
Rueck tied for the tournament lead with 38 pars and was tied for third in par-5 scoring (4.58, -5).
Will O'Connor shot the lowest round of the tournament for Boise State in the second round at 4-under 68.

Boise State returns to action in October with the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, Oct. 2-3. The Broncos finished tied for eighth on the team leaderboard at last year's iteration of the tournament, led by top-25 finishes from Will O'Connor and Cole Rueck.
