CORVALLIS, Ore. – Boise State volleyball fell in three sets at Oregon State in the finale of the Asics Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Beavers defeated the Broncos 25-21, 25-15, 25-16 as Boise State moved to 2-2 overall on the year.

Boise State started the day slow and found itself in a hole early in the first set. The Broncos battled back from a six-point deficit to close within one at 16-15 but could get no closer as the Beavers closed it out 25-21.

The Broncos struggled to get any momentum in the final two sets as Oregon State controlled both, winning by 10 and nine points, respectively.

Top Broncos

Paige Bartsch led the Broncos, recording her first double-double of the season and 12th of her career on 11 kills and 12 digs; both were team highs. She added four service aces and one block assist to finish with a team-best 15.5 points.
Annie Kaminski and Anabel Kotzakov followed Bartsch with five kills each.

"Today was a struggle on the road at Oregon State," said Boise State Head Coach Shawn Garus. "We were very high in errors, leading to easy points for the Beavers. It will be very important to bounce back, have a couple of good practices, and be ready for another tough road trip next week."

Notables

Bartsch recorded her fourth straight match with double-digit kills to start the season and the 34th in her career.
Bartsch's four service aces were a career-high and matched Elle Cotton's total from Saturday against Oklahoma to tie for the team season high.

Boise State will be back on the road next week when they travel to Flagstaff, Ariz., for the NAU Lumberjack Classic featuring Stephen F. Austin, Arizona State and Northern Arizona.
