
Potter, Ost Earn Mountain West Weekly Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State cross country juniors Autumn Ost and Ned Potter were both named the Mountain West Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the conference announced, Tuesday. This is the first career Mountain West weekly honor for both athletes.

Potter's honor follows his first-place finish at the USF Cross Country Invitational in San Francisco, Calif., Sept. 1, in his first race as a Bronco. He traversed the 8-kilometer course in 24:09.1 to lead his team to victory over nationally-ranked Stanford, as the Broncos registered 21 points.Â

Ost placed third (20:43.6) in the 6-kilometer race at the same meet as well, helping the women's squad finish second behind 8th-ranked Stanford.

Next, the Broncos travel to Falcon Heights, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invitational, Sept. 22. The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational follows on Oct. 13, before Boise State hosts the MW Cross Country Championships, Oct. 27.
