WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State hosts rival San Diego State in a morning game, Saturday at ExtraMile Arena. Tipoff comes at 11 a.m. on CBS with Spero Dedes and Clark Kellogg on the call. Bob Behler and Abe Jackson will call the game on KBOI 670 AM and 93.1 FM.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos lost their first game at home in 433 days in a four-point loss to UNLV Tuesday night, 64-68. Tyson Degenhart scored 24 points and O'Mar Stanley had a career-high 12 rebounds, but Boise State went 12-of-18 at the free throw line and allowed 16 second-chance points.

PRIME TIME: Saturday's game is the first time Boise State has played on network television since the 2022 Mountain West final (also on CBS). Prior to that, the most recent appearance on network television was the 2008 NCAA Tournament first round game against Louisville.

CLIMBING THE LIST: Tyson Degenhart continues to climb Boise State's all-time scoring list. With 1,083 career points, he is 17-shy of 1,110 career points, and he is 16 points shy of moving into the top 20.

STRETCH OF OPPORTUNITY: Boise State is in the fourth game of a four-game stretch with plenty of opportunities to build on its postseason resume. Three of the four are Quad 1 games. UNLV is currently a Quad 3 game, but the Runnin' Rebels are eight spots from moving into a Quad 2 opponent.

The Broncos are 6-4 in games within the first two quadrants this season, with a 3-2 record in each.

BY THE NUMBERS:
  • 4-of-5: Boise State has claimed four of the last five meetings against San Diego State, including the last two at home. The Broncos split the two games against the Aztecs in 2022-23, and went 3-0 the year prior.
  • 18-6: Since 2021-22, Boise State has gone 18-6 against the current top six of the Mountain West (Colorado State, 3-2; Nevada, 5-1, New Mexico, 3-1; San Diego State, 4-1; Utah State, 3-1).
  • 61.7: Boise State has held opponents to 61.7 points per game at home this season, with an average margin of victory of 19.1. Four opponents have been held under 60 points, and none have scored more than 70.
  • 6: The Mountain West is one of five leagues in the country to have six teams in the Top 55 of the NET rankings.
  • 3.25: Outside of last season's meeting at San Diego State, when Boise State was without starting point guard Marcus Shaver, Jr., four of the last five meetings between the two schools have been decided by 3.25 points — including two by one point.
