Road Trip to Fresno Next for Men's Hoops
1/22/2024 1:22:00 PM | Men's Basketball
WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State men's basketball continues the season on Tuesday night at Fresno State, 8:30 p.m. MT, on FS1. Dan Hellie and Casey Jacobsen will have the call, while Bob Behler and Abe Jackson will call the game on KBOI 670 AM.
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos defeated San Diego State for the fifth time in the last six meetings with a 67-66 win at ExtraMile Arena, Saturday. O'Mar Stanley had 17 points and seven rebounds as Boise State held on for the one-point win despite losing the battle on the glass. The
Broncos led for 34:47.
TAKING NOTICE: Saturday's win over the ranked-Aztecs led to Boise State receiving votes in both the AP and Coaches' Poll this week. The Broncos are also appearing in power rankings from national insiders Andy Katz (33) and Jon Rothstein (44).
Three Mountain West teams are ranked this week.
104 ON THE LINE: A win on Tuesday would give sixth-year guard Max Rice 104 victories in his Boise State career. That would move him into a tie for 10th on the Mountain West's all-time wins list with Cameron Bairstow (New Mexico), Chase Tapley (San Diego State) and Jonathan Tavernari (BYU). Rice is the only Boise State player with 100 career victories.
IN THE HUNT: Boise State is 0.5 game behind Utah State in the Mountain West standings. With the Aggies not playing until Saturday, a win over the Bulldogs would set up a battle for sole possession of first place in the conference when Utah State comes to town on Saturday, Jan. 27. Â
