FRESNO, Calif. – Boise State men's basketball saw a 16 point lead turn into a one-point deficit with 2:10 remaining.

That's when the cardiac Broncos showed up to hold on to a 71-68 over Fresno State, Tuesday at the Save Mart Center.

Chibuzo Agbo missed a corner 3-pointer, but he grabbed his own rebound and got the ball in Roddie Anderson III's hands. Agbo was again hit for the corner 3-pointer and this attempt he connected on.

O'Mar Stanley hit a pair of free throws for a 71-68 lead, and with 5.5 seconds remaining Fresno State (8-11, 1-5 MW) committed a backcourt violation on a midcourt inbound play, and the Broncos were able to hold on for the win.

The win moves Boise State (14-5, 5-1 MW) into a tie with Utah State at the top of the Mountain West standings.

"Flipping the momentum when you're down near the end is hard to do, especially on the road," said head coach Leon Rice. "We had to step back, be calm and trust our vets. We started moving the ball around, attacking the glass and that's what won it for us."
