Anderson Carries Broncos to Electric Win

BOISE, Idaho – Jillian Anderson carried Boise State women's soccer to an exciting 3-2 victory over New Mexico, Thursday night.
 
The Broncos (9-2-1, 2-0-1 MW) were the first on the scoreboard as Carly Cross blasted one to the upper right corner in the 28th minute. Sophie Drown was credited with the assist.
 
New Mexico (5-3-2, 1-2-0 MW) evened the score before halftime in the 40th minute as Natalie DeGagne rolled a shot in the bottom left corner.
 
Freshman Jillian Anderson scored for the Broncos in the 71st minute, tucking the ball into the upper right corner from right inside the box. Freshman Sophie Schmautz received the assist.
 
The Lobos scored another goal in the 77th minute when Sophia Roberts snuck one in the bottom right corner of the goal.
 
Anderson secured the Broncos' win in the 88th minute. She took a pass from Carly Cross and fired a shot down the middle, making the final score 3-2.
