  • WHAT'S NEXT: The Broncos return to Boise for Homecoming, hosting New Mexico on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. MT and San Diego State on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. MT. Both matches will be held at Boas Soccer Complex and will be broadcast on the MW Network.
  • SCOUTING THE LOBOS: New Mexico enters Thursday's match with a 5-2-2 overall record and 1-1-0 conference record. The Lobos are currently sixth in the Mountain West and are 0-1-1 on the road. New Mexico leads the all-time series 9-5-2.
  • SCOUTING THE AZTECS: San Diego State starts the week with a 4-5-1 record. The Aztecs will face No. 10 Utah State on Thursday, Oct. 3, before heading to Boise to play the Broncos on Sunday. San Diego State is currently first in the conference standings and leads the MW in conference goals with seven. The Aztecs lead the all-time series at 11-8-0.
  • HERE COMES MCBRIDE: Avery McBride ranks first in the conference in points (14).
  • HOT SHOTS: As a team, Boise State ranks first in the conference in shots with 209. Cross also currently ranks first individually in the conference in shots (45) and in shots per game (4.09).
  • SECOND HALF SQUAD: Out of the 21 goals the Broncos have scored this season, 17 of them have come in the final half. The Boise State defense has allowed only two goals in the final half.
  • RECORD BOOK MOVEMENT: Carly Cross has recorded 45 career points, tied for sixth on the program's all-time points list. The senior also entered the program's career goal list, tying for tenth with 16.
  • GK ASSIST: Genevieve Crenshaw recorded her second-career assist in the match against Fresno State, making her the first Boise State goalkeeper since Jennifer Burns (2007-09) to have multiple assists in her career.
  • HOME SWEET HOME: Boise State is one of two teams in the conference undefeated at home, boasting a 5-0-0 record.
  • HOME CROWD: The Broncos lead the MW in home attendance average at 1,122. Utah  State is the next closest, averaging 846.
  • STARTED OFF STRONG: Boise State tied its best start through seven matches in school history. The 2019 team, also coached by head coach Jim Thomas, won regular season and tournament titles in MW and the 2021 team made a MW Championship final appearance.
  • RECORD BROKEN: Crenshaw is now first in program history for goalkeeper wins (32). She passed Janelle Flores (2014-17) at 30 wins in the win over Utah Tech Thursday night (Sept. 12).
  • COMEBACK TEAM: In the match against Idaho (Sept. 8), the Broncos took a 3-1 victory after trailing 1-0 at half. This marked the third time under Coach Thomas that Boise State came back after trailing at halftime.
  • MIDFIELD MAGIC: Morgan Padour scored her third goal of the season against Idaho (Sept. 8), setting a new individual season high for herself.
  • OFFENSIVE STUD: In the match against UC Riverside (Aug. 29), Avery McBride recorded her first-career goals (2), as well as her first-career assist. She was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week following this performance.
  • HISTORIC SUCCESS: Boise State recorded nine goals over its first three matches, the most since 2019, which is also the last time Boise State won the conference championship.
  • SETTING THE STANDARD: The Broncos took 24 shots against Portland State, the most in a season opener since Jim Thomas took over as head coach in 2013.
  • ABOUT THE BRONCOS: Returning for the Broncos are 2023 All-Mountain West Second Team honorees Cross and Padour. 2023 MW All-Newcomer Team selection Cindy Conner also returns to the pitch for Boise State, as well as Crenshaw, who received 2023 All-Tournament Team distinctions.
  • PRESEASON PREDICTIONS: Boise State was picked to finish third in the Mountain West's preseason poll, tied with Colorado State with 99 points. San Diego State was selected to win the conference, receiving eight of 12 first-place votes and 117 points. Utah State came in second with 107 points, including two first-place votes. Colorado State received the final two first-place votes.
  • KEEP AN EYE OUT: Crenshaw, Cross and Padour were named to the 2024 Mountain West Women's Soccer Watch List. Crenshaw was one of two goalkeepers on the watch list with 36 total athletes.
  • BIG GOALS: After finishing the 2023 season with a 8-2-1 conference record and an 11-4-6 overall record, the Broncos look to return to the MW Championship in 2024 after making a semifinal appearance in the tournament last season.
