10/31/2024 4:09:00 PM | Women's Beach Volleyball
WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State beach volleyball will compete on its home courts for the only time during the 2024 fall season at the City of Trees Classic, Nov. 2-3, at the Boise State Beach Volleyball Complex. Matches will be played all day, with competition will beginning at 9 a.m. MT on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday.
FIELD AND FORMAT: The Broncos will welcome pairs from both Oregon and Utah to their home courts. The two-day event will consist of three separate divisions – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Pool play will occur early in the day, with bracket play occurring in the evening. The pools and pairs will be reshuffled on Sunday.
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos competed at the highly-competitive Surf City Challenge in Huntington Beach, California, last weekend. Three Boise State pairs – Susannah Barnett/Abbie Wolf, Nora Hayd/Aris Vetter and Makayla Dimond/Elli Wolthuis – won their respective pools at the two-day event.
PROGRAM HISTORY: Boise State will send two pairs – the maximum allotment – to the AVCA National Pairs Championship for the first time in program history. The Broncos have sent one pair to the event in each of the last two seasons, and earned the bid through Anderson and Wolden's victory in Spokane. The duo will join Allyson Alden and Emilia Guerra-Acuña at the three-day event, which begins Nov. 15 in Huntsville, Alabama.
FAN INFO: Admission for the event is free. Free parking will also be available in Lincoln Garage. Once parked, fans will enter their license plate number into the kiosk and select the beach volleyball option.
