Broncos win 10 matches at the MW Fall Qualifiers in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Boise State men's tennis finished the inaugural Mountain West Fall Qualifiers with a 10-13 combined record between singles and doubles.

Carson Baker led the team, advancing to the quarterfinal round in singles with a pair of victories before falling in three sets.

Baker and doubles partner Lukas Velik also reached the quarterfinal round. They won 8-7(4) to open the tournament before falling 8-6 in the quarterfinal.

Velik went a team-best 3-2 overall in singles, winning three pick-up matches after falling in his tournament opener.

Both Dylan Jaen and Taiyo Kurata collected a pair of singles victories during the pick-up match competition.

What's Next

Boise State will send nine squad members to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Mountain Region Championships in Las Vegas the week of Oct. 17-22.
