Broncos Close Out Homestand Against College of Idaho

Game will be Presnell's 600th as Head Coach of the Broncos

WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State women's basketball will wrap up its four-game homestand against College of Idaho on Monday, Nov. 18 at noon MT in ExtraMile Arena. The game against the Yotes will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.
 
MASSIVE MILESTONE: The contest against the Yotes will mark Boise State head coach Gordy Presnell's 600th career game at the helm of the program. Presnell, the winningest coach in program history, boasts a 358-241 record as the head coach of the Broncos. He has led Boise State to five NCAA National Tournament appearances, four regular season conference titles and six conference tournament championships.
 
HOT START: The Broncos will look to start 4-0 for the second consecutive season and the third time in five years. Boise State has started a season 4-0 a total of 10 times in program history, five of which have come under Presnell.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Boise State raced past UC Riverside, 72-57, Thursday night. Tatum Thompson scored a game-high 19 points, while Natalie Pasco and Dani Bayes added 12 and 10 respectively.
 
ON TOP OF THE NATION: Fifth year senior Abby Muse enters Monday's contest leading the nation in blocks per game (5.7) and total blocks (17). She has recorded seven blocks in back-to-back contests, and her 17 blocks are the most in the first three games of a season are the most in program history.
 
COMPETE TEAM EFFORT: The Broncos' defensive dominance is a total team effort. The Broncos are not only ranked second nationally with 9.3 blocks per game, but their opponents are shooting 18.1% from beyond the arc, giving Boise State the 14th-best 3-point percentage defense in the nation. Among MW teams, the Broncos are first in scoring defense (53.7 points per game) and are second in rebound margin (+7.0), and field goal percentage defense (34.8%).
 
OPPONENT CONNECTIONS: Thompson and College of Idaho leading scorer Brooke Beresford were high school teammates at Woodinville High School in Woodinville, Wash. Beresford is the younger sister of former Boise State offensive lineman Cade Beresford (2019-23). Bronco assistant coach Jackie Robinson also coached the Yotes' Kylie Waltermeyer in high school.
 
ON TAP: Following the contest against the Yotes, Boise State will head to the Chase Center in San Francisco for a neutral-site matchup against San Francisco. The game will tip off at 5 p.m. MT on Nov. 21.
