
Broncos Fall to Aggies in Mountain West Championship

SAN DIEGO – Boise State women's soccer lost to nationally-ranked Utah State 2-1 in the title match of the Mountain West Championship Saturday night in San Diego.

At the conclusion of the match, Genevieve Crenshaw, Carly Cross and Morgan Padour were named to the 2024 MW All-Tournament team. Cross and Padour earned their first distinctions, while Crenshaw picked up her second.
Utah State (18-1-4), which is ranked 25th in the nation, was first to score, netting a goal in the tenth minute. Kaylie Chambers made a run into the six-yard box to score from close range.

Jillian Anderson put Boise State (16-4-2) on the board in the 21st minute, firing a shot to the top right of the goal. The freshman scored unassisted.

 In the 25th minute, Chambers scored again for the Aggies in similar fashion as her first goal, scoring again from within the six-yard box.

It was a defensive battle in the second half as both teams remained goalless, making the final score 2-1.
