SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Boise State gymnastics team swept its Sunday quad meet, scoring 196.800 to defeat San Jose State (196.575), Illinois State (196.275) and Yale (194.600).
 
The day was highlighted by a sensational beam rotation, as Boise State posted a 49.475, the third-highest score in program history. Anna Ferguson and Emily Lopez tied for first, each tallying a 9.950. It was a milestone performance for both student-athletes, as it marked the collegiate debut for Ferguson and the 25th-career event victory for Lopez.
 
Boise State opened the afternoon with a strong performance on bars, highlighted by career-best efforts from Courtney Blackson, Kylee Hamby and Elaina McGovern. Blackson's 9.950 placed her first, leading the Blue and Orange to a 49.350 on the apparatus.
 
The Broncos tallied a 49.125 on floor, their eighth-straight meet scoring over 49.000 on the apparatus. In the final rotation, Alyssa Vulaj tallied a 9.825 to tie for first on vault, helping the Blue and Orange secure the quad meet sweep.
 
Boise State is now 16-4 overall and 4-0 in Mountain West competition.

  • Courtney Blackson tallied a career-high 9.950 on bars, equaling Boise State's highest bars score of the year. She finished first, marking her second bars win of the season and fourth of her career. In total, she has seven wins this year and 17 in her career.
  • Kylee Hamby posted a career-best 9.900 on bars.
  • Elaina McGovern set a season-best and matched her career-high on bars, scoring a 9.850.
  • Alyssa Vulaj recorded a season-best 9.875 on beam and tied for first with a 9.825 on vault. This marked her first win of the season and fourth of her career.
  • Sydney Kho matched her season-high on vault, scoring a 9.775.
  • The Broncos scored 49.475 on beam, the third-highest score in school history.

The Broncos return to the Treasure Valley for a 1 p.m. meet on Sunday, March 17. Boise State will celebrate Senior Day and host MW foe Utah State and nonconference opponent Oregon State.
