Broncos Host Final Home Meet of the 2024 Season

THE MEET:Â The Broncos will host MW rival Utah State and nonconference foe Oregon State in its final home meet of the 2024 season on Sunday, March 17, in ExtraMile Arena at noon.
LAST TIME OUT:Â The Broncos swept its Sunday quad meet, scoring 196.800 to defeat MW foe San Jose State and nonconference opponents Illinois State and Yale. Boise State posted the third-highest score in program history on beam with a 49.475. Anna Ferguson and Emily Lopez tied for first on the apparatus, scoring a 9.950. Courtney Blackson's 9.950 on bars placed her first on the event, while Alyssa Vulaj tied for first on vault with a 9.825.
BRONCO TRIO EARNS MW WEEKLY AWARDS:Â Senior Courtney Blackson was tabbed the Bars Specialist of the Week for the first time this season after scoring a career-high 9.950 on the apparatus. Junior Anna Ferguson was tabbed Co-Beam Specialist of the Week for the first time this season, collecting her first career weekly accolade, after scoring a 9.950 on her beam debut. Senior Emily Lopez also collected Co-Beam Specialist of the Week, matching her career-best score of 9.950.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS:Â Utah State comes into the meet with a 195.575 NQS. The Aggies' highest team score of the season came from their second place-finish at Boise State's quad meet on Feb. 23, with a 196.275. Oregon State sits at 17th in the national standings, with an NQS of 197.00. The Beavers are ranked seventh on bars, 19th on vault, 23rd on beam and 24th on floor, nationally.
BRONCOS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS:Â Boise State sits at 25th, nationally, on floor with an NQS of 49.310. Individually, Emily Lopez is tied for 14th, nationally, on bars with an NQS of 9.930.
SENIOR DAY:Â Sunday's meet marks 'Senior Day' for the Broncos, where they will honor Courtney Blackson, Emily Lopez, Dani Nakayama and Adriana Popp.
