Jose Guillermo "Memo" Uribe, 51, passed away on April 13, 2024. He was born January 14, 1973, to Rosa Leticia Paz-Soldan (Cordoba) and Guillermo Uribe (Garcia).

Uribe's Bronco legacy is marked by remarkable achievements, earning two NCAA All-America awards during his career, as well as being inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 2004.

He received his first award at the 1996 NCAA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships with a fourth place finish in the 10,000-meters. His second national honor came at the 1996 NCAA National Cross Country Championships when he placed 12th. Uribe made a total of three appearances at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.

In 1996, he became the first Boise State student-athlete to win a Big West Conference Championship when he won the league's individual cross-country title.

Memo is survived by his wife, Angelina "Angie" Arlia, Â mother Rosa Leticia, sisters Roxana and Liliana, daughter Miranda and numerous family members, including his mischievous, faithful dog, Winnie.
