LAS VEGAS – Boise State alumni Andy Bettles and Kyle Butters have been named to the Mountain West's 25th Season Men's Tennis Team, the league announced Monday before the start of the conference championship this week at Las Vegas.

The team was selected by the MW 25th Season Committee as the conference celebrates its excellence on and off the field of play.

Andy Bettles (2010-14)

During Bettles' four-year career at Boise State, he was named the 2014 MW Player of the Year, the 2011 Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, the 2013 ITA Mountain Region Player to Watch, three-time All-MW in singles, and two-time All-MW in doubles. In the classroom, he was a three-time Academic All-MW honoree.

Bettles currently ranks fifth all-time at Boise State for combined (singles and doubles) career wins with 189; his combined win percentage is seventh at .703 (189-80).

The native of England finished his career ranked tied for third all-time in career singles victories with 106, ninth in career singles win percentage at .711 (106-43), tied for second for career wins in dual matches with 78, fifth for wins at No. 1 singles with 36, and tied for fourth for most wins in a season with 32 (2011-12).

In doubles, Bettles is ninth all-time for career wins with 83 and 14th in career win percentage at .692 (83-37). He ranks fourth for wins during dual matches with 72 and 10th in win percentage at .706 (72-30).

Kyle Butters (2015-18)

During Butters' four-year career as a Bronco, he was named the 2016 ITA Mountain Region Rookie of the Year and 2016 MW Freshman of the Year. He was also a three-time All-MW honoree in doubles and once in singles.

He battled through injuries late in his career and did not play as a senior. He finished with a record of 45-35 in singles, 48-38 in doubles, and a combined mark of 93-73 (.560).

As a freshman in 2016, Butters finished undefeated, 15-0, at No. 4 singles – ranked fifth all-time – and currently holds the school record for single-season win percentage at that position.
