
Broncos Bound for Mountain West Championship

- WHAT'S NEXT:Â Boise State women's tennis will take on San Jose State in the opening round of the Mountain West Championship on Wednesday, April 24 at 11 a.m. MT. The tournament will be held at Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nev. All the matches will be broadcasted online through Playsight. Matches can also be followed with live statistics on iOnCourt.
- SCOUTING THE SPARTANS:Â San Jose State enters the weekend 13-7 overall and is 4-5 in Mountain West play. The Spartans have found strong doubles' performances at their one and three spots this year, boasting a 13-5 and 12-2 mark on the season, respectively. The Broncos currently lead the all-time series 8-6, including a 4-2 win earlier this season. This will be the Broncos third time facing the Spartans in the conference tournament since joining the Mountain West. The series is even at 1-1.
- LOOKING AHEAD:Â The winner of this match will go on to play No. 1 New Mexico in the quarterfinals. The match will be Thursday, April 25 at 11 a.m. MT.
- HOT STREAK:Â Doubles partners Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Heffernan are on a three-match winning streak. They have won seven of their last ten matches and lead the team with an overall record of 10-5 on the season.
- LINI THE MACHINE-Y:Â Ernstberger was named a member of the Mountain West 25th Season Women's Tennis Team, the conference announced Monday. Ernstberger is one of three active players on the list, joining Anja Dokic as the only two Broncos.
- NEARING 15:Â Ariadna Briones Ginesta has 14 singles wins this season and could reach the 15-win mark on Wednesday.
