Men's CSC Academic All-District: Sam Sippel and James Van Herzeele

Two Broncos Earn Academic All-District Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Sam Sippel and James Van Herzeele were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Sippel, a first team All-Mountain West selection in singles and doubles, was recognized for the fourth time in his career. The senior, who was the MVP of the MW Tournament, is pursuing his MBA. Sippel was nationally ranked for most of the season and reached the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships.

Van Herzeele, who was a MW All-Tournament selection, earned recognition from the CSC for the first time in his career. The junior captured 22 singles wins and 13 doubles wins, helping the Broncos to back-to-back MW titles. Van Herzeele is a business administration major.

Former Bronco Jip van Assendelft also earned CSC Academic All-District honors. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must play in 70% or more of the team's competitions and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
