BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State beach volleyball program earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the sixth-straight season, the AVCA announced on Wednesday.

The 19 members of the 2023-24 Bronco roster combined for a 3.68 cumulative GPA over the course of the year. A program must maintain a year-long GPA of at least a 3.3 GPA to earn the award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year.

The program has earned the recognition from the AVCA in all six years of head coach Allison Voigt's tenure. The program has received the honor seven times in program history, all of which have occurred over the last eight seasons.

"I'm very proud of our team for earning this award," Voigt said. "Our program has an expectation of academic excellence and our players worked hard this season to maintain that standard. I'm glad that they are getting recognition for all of their hard work."

The award adds to the program's long-list of academic recognition this year. The Broncos had four members on the Southland Conference All-Academic Team, as Sierra Land, Sharli O'Neil, Abbie Wolf and Elli Wolthuis all earned a spot on the 10-person team. Land was also honored as the SLC Beach Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Year.

Additionally, Ava Anderson, Emilia Guerra-Acuña and Land received Academic All-District recognition from the College Sports Communicators.
