BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's soccer defeated Idaho State 3-1, Friday night.

The Broncos (2-0-0) handed the Bengals (1-1-1) their first loss of the season, outshooting them 18 to six.

Carly Cross put Boise State on the scoreboard first, scoring her first goal of the season in the 11th minute. Ali Chatterton was credited with the assist.

Idaho State evened the score entering halftime with a goal from Payton Reed in the 34th minute.

In the 68th minute, Grace Sommers managed to find the back of the net in the midst of chaos in the box, giving the Broncos a 2-1 lead.

Cross struck again in the 88th minute, blasting the ball from the top right corner of the box to extend the lead to 3-1.
