Marisa Howard Finishes Seventh in First Round of 3,000-Meter Steeplechase

SAINT-DENIS, France – Marisa Howard's Olympic campaign has come to an end after finishing seventh in her heat Sunday morning at the Stade de France. Howard posted a time of 9:24.78, 7.39 seconds shy of fifth place. Pat McCurry's individual athlete Lizzie Bird of Team Great Britain earned a spot in the final by finishing fourth in her respective heat, running a 9:16.46.
