Cushman Leads Strong Opening Effort for Men's Golf

HARRIS, Mich. — Three Broncos finished in the top 10 as Boise State men's golf finished second in its season opener at the Island Resort Intercollegiate.
Luke Cushman (71-65-73 — 209, -7) finished third, and Gavyn Knight (73-69-72 — 214, -2) and Cole Rueck (70-71-73 — 214, -2) finished tied for ninth at Sage Run Golf Club.
Boise State finished ahead of Power-4 schools No. 21 Georgia, Michigan and UCF, and entered Monday's final round tied with eventual winner, Purdue. The Broncos shot 5-under 859 (286-280-293) on the weekend.
