
Boise State Sweeps McNeese for Seventh Win

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Anabel Kotzakov and Paige Bartsch combined for 21 kills to lead the Boise State sweep, 25-16, 25-19, 25-11, of the McNeese Cowgirls Friday night on the second day of the SFA Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Boise State hit above .300 for the fourth time this season, finishing at .303 while holding the Cowgirls to a Broncos' season-best .045. The Blue and Orange finished the contest with advantages in service aces 12 to 2 and blocks 10 to 3.

Boise State controlled the first two sets, leading most of the way in both. The Broncos hit .299 in the two combined while holding McNeese to .099. Solid serving and blocking helped, with six service aces and eight blocks.

Down 7-4 in the third, the Blue and Orange used a 7-0 run to go up 11-7. The Broncos never trailed again, led by as many as 15 points, and closed the set on a 14-3 run to close it out 25-11 to clinch the sweep.

- Anabel Kotzakov hit .429 for a team-high 11 kills to go with two block assists and 13 points.
- Paige Bartsch was right behind Kotzakov, collecting 10 kills while hitting .333; she added two service aces, three block assists, nine digs, and a team-best 13.5 points.
- Annie Kaminski hit .333 with four kills and four block assists.
- Breanna Mitchell had a team-high 11 digs.

- Paige Bartsch's 10 kills moved her to 1,233, eight short of tying for seventh place on the Broncos' career kills list.
- Bartsch now has 113 career service aces, pulling her to within two of 14th place all-time at Boise State.
