BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women's tennis team (4-0) capped off its dominant weekend with a 7-0 victory over Gonzaga (2-1) Sunday afternoon at Boas Indoor Tennis Center.

The Broncos started hot, securing the doubles point after the duos of Ryan Kershner and Lorelyz Marruffo, as well as Paula Schaefer and Bhakti Shah, each defeated their opponents 6-1.

In singles, reigning Mountain West Freshman of the Week Maya Dutta grabbed the team's first win at the No. 2 position with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 performance. Following Schaefer's straight-set victory on court four, Zdena Safarova clinched the team victory after rallying back from a 1-5 deficit in the first set to win 7-6(4), 6-0. Shah, Ariadna Briones Ginesta and Masa Viriant also earned singles victories, helping secure the 7-0 sweep and handing the Bulldogs their first loss of the season.

Notables:

All nine Broncos remain undefeated in both singles and doubles this season.
Ryan Kershner and Lorelyz Marruffo improved to 4-0 in doubles, Bhakti Shah and Paula Scahefer moved to 3-0 while Maya Dutta and Zdena Safarova sit at 2-0.
Boise State has only gone to a third set or a 10-point tiebreaker in two matches so far on the season.
The Broncos move to 9-0 all-time against Gonzaga.
