Broncos Head to California for Surf City Collegiate Challenge

What's Next: Boise State will have its last chance to earn an additional bid to the AVCA National Pairs ChampionsAhip at the Surf City Collegiate Challenge, Oct. 25-26, in Huntington Beach, Calif. It will be the third consecutive season the Broncos will compete in the fall event.
What's At Stake: The top division at the two-day event serves as the AVCA Championship Bid Division, with the top finishers earning a bid to the AVCA National Pairs Championship, Nov. 7-9, in Huntsville, Ala. Boise State has already earned a spot for one pair and will look to earn a second position.Â
The Format: The event will feature three divisions. The AVCA Championship Bid Division will consist of eight pools of four teams. The winner of each pool will compete in bracket play, complete with consolation brackets to solidify seeding. The other two divisions will consist of ten pools each, concluding with bracket play on Sunday.Â
The Pairs: Boise State's pairs for each of the three divisions are listed below.
AVCA Championship Bid Division: Ava Anderson/Addison Wolden, Allyson Alden/Avery Allen and Lily Patock/Abbie Wolf
Womens AA: Keira Demirjian/Charlee Ellena, Luna Ingaramo/Addison Moss
Womens A: Susannah Barnett/Nora Hayd, Summer McCann/Elli Wolthuis, Avery Bowidowicz/Anika Christensen/Makayla Dimond
The Field: The two-day event will feature pairs from some of the top programs in the nation. The AVCA Championship Bid Division will feature pairs from CSUN, Florida State, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Pepperdine, Saint Mary's, South Florida, UC Davis, UCLA, USC and Washington. Concordia, The Master's and Vanguard will also have pairs competing at the event.
Peeking Ahead: The Surf City Collegiate Challenge kicks off three straight weeks of Boise State beach volleyball action. The Broncos will head to Tempe, Ariz., for the Arizona State Pairs Tournament next weekend, Nov. 1-2.
