
Broncos Blank Aggies to Cap Undefeated Mountain West Regular Season

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State scored three second half goals to defeat Utah State 3-0 in Mountain West women's soccer, Thursday.

The victory capped an undefeated conference slate for the Broncos (10-3-6, 8-0-2 MW). Boise State scored three times on five shots in the second half after being outshot 6-2 by the Aggies (8-6-5, 5-2-3) in the first half.

The Broncos got on the board in the 56th minute off a set piece. Jillian Anderson played a corner kick to Cindy Conner who sent a ball into the box. The pass was deflected to Sophie Schmautz who put home the game-winner for her fourth goal of the season.

In the 68th minute, Asia Lawyer dribbled a ball from just across midfield into the box and fed Anderson for an insurance tally. It was the fourth goal of the season for Anderson.

Kayla Soderstrom tacked on an unassisted goal, her second of the season, in the 84th minute.
