BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State softball team will play 18 home games and eight contests against teams from Power 4 Conferences in 2026, head coach Justin Shults announced, Thursday.
Â
Season tickets for the 2026 home slate will go on sale, Jan. 5. Boise State will open the home portion of its schedule with the Blue Collar Classic, March 5-8. In their final season in the Mountain West, the Broncos will play conference series at Dona Larsen Park against Fresno State (March 20-22), New Mexico (April 2-4), UNLV (April 17-19) and San Jose State (April 30-May 2).
Â
Boise State begins its campaign at Loyola Marymount, Feb. 5. It will be the first of 21 games away from the Treasure Valley to open the season. The Broncos begin the Easton Classic, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, against 2025 Women's College World Series participant Mississippi (Feb. 6). The game will be the first of 17 meetings with teams that played in the 2025 NCAA Championship.
Â
In addition to the opening weekend, the Broncos will play in tournaments hosted by UC San Diego/San Diego (Feb. 13-15), Stanford (Feb. 19-22) and Arkansas (Feb. 27-March 1). During the DeMarini Invitational at Stanford Boise State will play 2025 National Champion Texas (Feb. 21).
Â
"We have some veteran leadership and a lot of new faces who will see tough competition right off the bat," Shults said. "We will have 18 opportunities for our fan base to see us at home and we look forward to entertaining them at DLP."
Â
The Broncos have won 285 games over the last-nine seasons, most in the Mountain West. Boise State tied the school record with 40 victories in 2022 in Shults's first year. The Broncos captured the MW regular season title in 2023 and have won at least 32 games each of the last four years, the only team in the conference to accomplish the feat.
