12/20/2025 4:06:00 PM | Women's Basketball

SAN DIEGO – Boise State lost to San Diego State 83-54 in Viejas Arena, Saturday afternoon.

Naomi Panganiban opened the scoring for the Aztecs (8-3, 2-0 Mountain West) with a three-pointer and Natalie Pasco answered with the Broncos' (9-4, 0-2) first field goal, also from beyond the arc. After an Aztec scoring drought of more than two minutes, which was only broken by free throws, San Diego State jumped ahead with an 11-0 run. The quarter ended with a three-pointer from Mya Hansen.

The Broncos trailed San Diego State 27-18 at the end of the period, as the Aztecs shot 71.4% (10-of-14) from the field and 71.4% (5-of-7) from three-point range.

Boise State opened the second quarter with a basket from Emily Howard, assisted by Hansen. The Broncos suffered a three-minute field goal drought, which Bayes ended with a layup at the 6:22 mark. However, San Diego State responded with a dominant 15-0 run, holding Boise State scoreless for more than six minutes. During that stretch, the Aztecs grabbed four-consecutive offensive rebounds while Boise State managed to prevent any points off those possessions.

At halftime, Panganiban and Kennedy Lee led the Aztecs with 16 and 10 points, respectively, as San Diego State extended its lead to 50-24.

Hutton opened the third quarter for the Broncos with a jumper and paced Boise State for the period with seven points. The Broncos outscored San Diego State 17-14 in the quarter, but the Aztecs maintained a steady 64-41 lead heading into the fourth.

Hutton once again scored first for Boise State to begin the final quarter, as the Broncos totaled 13 points in the period. San Diego State was led by Panganiban with 18 points, Lee with 16 and Kendall Mosley with 11, as all three finished in double figures. The Aztecs secured an 83-54 win.
