
Broncos Continue Spring Competition in California

WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's golf team is set to continue the 2024-25 campaign in Palm Desert, Calif., playing at the Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf Classic, Feb. 15-17. The Broncos will play at Monterey Classic Club. Each day will feature a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. MT.
THE FIELD: Boise State, Long Beach State (Host), Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oregon, Pepperdine, Portland State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, UC Davis, USC, Washington, Wyoming.
LAST TIME ON THE LINKS: The Broncos won the Mountain Classic Match Play title, defeating Portland State, Seattle and Northern Arizona. Teal Matsueda and Brooke Patterson both finished 3-0-0, with Jillian Hui and Hannah Lim adding two wins apiece. This marks the third-straight season Boise State has won a tournament and the first time since 2021 the Broncos have captured the Match Play crown.
LAST TIME AT MONTEREY CLASSIC CLUB: Last season, Boise State finished second in a two-round tri-match against Long Beach State and UC Riverside at Monterey Classic Club. Leia Chung finished first at 139 (-3) and Elli Gordon tied for third at 141 (-1). Matsueda (T-6th) and Lim (T-10th) added top-10 finishes for the Broncos. Matuseda's 67 (-3) in the second round tied her career-best at the time.
FIRST TEE IDAHO PARTNERSHIP: On Nov. 26, 2024, Boise State Athletics and First Tee Idaho announced a community partnership. The partnership follows FTI's acquisition of Pierce Park Greens, a 27-acre par-three golf course located in Northwest Boise, now named First Tee – Idaho's Pierce Park Greens. Boise State men's and women's golfers will have full access to Pierce Park Greens as a home to practice and develop. FTI plans to improve the course and facilities in order to better serve the community and its young athletes with a commitment to keep Pierce Park Greens open to the public.
