Broncos to Compete at Air Force in Tri-Meet

  • THE MEET: Boise State will travel to USAFA, Colo., to compete against Air Force and Greenville on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.
  • SCOUTING THE FALCONS: Air Force is currently 4-1 on the season with its only loss being to No. 24 Arizona (Jan. 17). The Falcons are also undefeated in conference play, taking wins over Utah State 195.225-195.200 (Jan. 24) and San Jose State 195.775-194.200 (Jan. 31). The Broncos lead the all-time series 8-1 with an eight-meet win streak.
  • SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: Greenville holds a 1-4 record and has a team-high season score of 185.800. This will mark the first time that the Broncos and Panthers will compete against each other.
  • LONG TIME NO SEE: This is the first time Boise State has traveled to Air Force for a meet since Jan. 17, 1999. The Broncos defeated the Falcons 190.450-185.075.
  • IN THE RANKINGS: Boise State is No. 18 in the RoadToNationals team bars rankings with an average score of 49.025, the highest of any non-power 4 program. The Broncos are also No. 25 in the beam rankings, boasting a 48.875 average score.
  • EVENT CHAMPIONS: At Boise State's first home meet (Jan. 31), Alyssa Vulaj took home first on vault with a 9.850, marking her third victory of the season and seventh of her career. Emma Loyim also earned the floor co-championship title with a 9.875, the first of her season and fifth of her career.
  • FLOOR LEADER: Loyim picked up her second MW Co-Floor Specialist of the Week honor (Feb. 4) of the season following her 9.875 performance on floor. She notched her sixth weekly MW honor of her career and fifth on floor.
  • UP AND UP: The Broncos recorded team season-highs on vault (48.950), bars (49.150) and beam (48.925). The squad also achieved a season-high overall score of 195.925.
  • FRESHIE MAGIC: Noelle Ball has notched the highest vault score of all freshmen for the second-consecutive meet, putting up a 9.775 on both Jan. 26 and Jan. 31.
  • RECORD WATCH: Lopez earned her 16th-career bars win at the quad meet in San Jose (Jan. 26), putting her in sole possession of third all-time for bars victories in program history. She now sits behind Emily Mulenhaupt (2018-22) in first with 22 wins and Lindsay Ward (2004-08) in second with 20.
  • PRESEASON EXPECTATIONS: Boise State came in at No. 33 in the 2025 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Preseason Poll, the 14th time since 2010 that the Broncos have earned a preseason national ranking. The Blue and Orange received 341 points and were the only team in the Mountain West to place in the top 36.
