Boise State to Participate in College Basketball Crown

New single-elimination tournament features 16 teams; games played between March 31-April 6

BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's basketball will participate in the inaugural College Basketball Crown, it was announced on Monday.
 
The new single-elimination tournament includes 16 teams from seven different conferences. This year's field features teams from the Big 12 (Arizona State, Cincinnati, Colorado, UCF, Utah), Big East (Butler, DePaul, Georgetown, Villanova), Big Ten (Nebraska, USC), West Coast Conference (Oregon State, Washington State), Mountain West (Boise State), American Athletic Conference (Tulane) and Atlantic 10 (George Washington).
 
Taking place in Las Vegas beginning Monday, March 31, the first and second round of the tournament will be played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The final two teams will go head-to-head on Saturday, April 1, at T-Mobile Arena.
 
In the first round, the Broncos (24-10) will play George Washington (21-12) on March 31 at 3:30 p.m. MT. In program history, Boise State has never gone head-to-head with the Revolutionaries.
 
The first two rounds of the tournament will air live on FS1. FOX will have the broadcast for the semifinal round and championship game.
