Thomas Adds Gonzaga Transfer Mikayla Stanfield to 2025 Roster

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Head Soccer Coach Jim Thomas announced on Wednesday the addition of Mikayla Stanfield to the 2025 roster. – a forward/midfielder – is transferring from Gonzaga and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

"We couldn't be more excited to complete our 2025 roster with such an amazing and unique talent like Mikayla," Thomas said. 

"Mikayla's tremendous technical ability will offer a fulcrum for us to build through as well as center attacks toward in the final third. With the rare ability to finish accurately with all surfaces, Mikayla will complete a talented and versatile group of attacking players, set to return Boise State to the peak of the Mountain West!" Thomas added.

The native of Montesano, Washington, spent her freshman campaign with the Bulldogs, playing in one match against Utah Valley, logging 15 minutes on the pitch.

Stanfield is a 2024 graduate of Montesano High School, where she was named the co-most valuable player on the 1A All-League team in 2023. Stanfield played club soccer for Blackhills FC in Olympia, Washington.
