Five Broncos Earn NABC Honors Court Recognition

Boise State collectively garnered NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

BOISE, Idaho — Five Boise State men's basketball players earned NABC Honors Court recognition, it was announced on Thursday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
 
Highlighting excellence in the classroom, NABC Honors Court celebrates juniors, seniors and graduate students who finished the previous academic year with a 3.2 GPA or higher. Alvaro Cardenas (4.0 — interdisciplinary professional studies), Tyson Degenhart (3.757 — finance), Dominic Parolin (3.629 — interdisciplinary studies), Brennan Ramirez (3.379 — business administration) and O'Mar Stanley (3.207 — interdisciplinary professional studies) were the Broncos' honorees for 2024-25.
 
Among the 11 Mountain West institutions, only Boise State, Utah State and San Jose State were represented. The Broncos' five recipients were the most in the conference, followed by the Aggies (4) and Spartans (2).
 
Additionally, the Broncos garnered the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, which is bestowed upon programs who produced a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year. Collectively, Boise State men's basketball recorded a 3.03 GPA.
 
In total, over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. Boise State and Utah State were the only Mountain West schools to appear on both lists.
