Garus Adds Megan Yett to Volleyball Staff

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Head Volleyball Coach Shawn Garus announced today the addition of Megan Yett to the volleyball coaching staff. Yett will serve as an assistant coach for the program; her responsibilities will include coaching during matches and practice, as well as recruiting.

"I am thrilled to welcome Megan to our coaching staff," said Garus. "I have known her since she was an elite junior player in the Boise area. She joins us with a high level of playing experience, having been at the University of Utah in the Pac-12. Megan will work primarily with our outside hitters."

"I am honored and thrilled to be joining the Bronco family, where I can contribute my knowledge and competitiveness to the team," said Yett. "Since concluding my collegiate career, I have been eager to remain involved in the sport, which this opportunity has given me. Having grown up watching the success of the Boise State volleyball team, I am excited to be a part of this well-respected and competitive program. Go Broncos!"

Yett comes to Boise State from the local youth volleyball ranks, where she has been coaching for the Idaho Crush Volleyball Club, assisting with the 15U, 16U, and 17U teams. While with Idaho Crush, her teams have placed as high as fifth in the nation and are consistently ranked in the top 20.

She is a native of Caldwell,Idaho, and is a graduate of Nampa Christian High School. During her prep career, Yett was named a two-time Idaho Press Tribune Player of the Year and a three-time Western Idaho Conference Player of the Year.

Following high school, Yett played collegiately for the University of Utah for five years, from 2018 to 2022. While with the Utes, she played 133 matches during her career, splitting time between outside hitter and defensive specialist.
