
Boise State Receives USTFCCCA Academic Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Ten Boise State cross country and track and field student-athletes earned U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors, it was announced on Monday.

Six women – Hanna Ackermann, Alyssa Cullen, Emily Jobes, Abby Kendrick, Yasmin Marghini, Kaiya Robertson were recognized by the USTFCCCA. Four men – Austen Apperson, Tom Graham-Marr, Landon Helms, Joe Hudson received the honor.

Both the men's and women's teams also won All-Academic team honors on the national stage.

USTFCCCA highlights the top student-athletes for their performances in athletics and academics. To qualify, athletes must have a 3.25 or higher cumulative GPA.
Â
Indoor track criteria requires that athletes finish the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or in the top 48 in any championship relay event, for the most recent indoor season.
Â
Additionally, outdoor athletes must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships or have finished in the top 48 in the East or West Regions.

Boise State Women –
Â
Ackermann, a junior biology major with a 3.95 GPA, competed at the 2025 Division I Track and Field Championships where she placed 16th in the 3,000 meter-steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:54.21.

Cullen, who received a Master of Criminal Justice degree, in 2025, posted a 4.0 GPA. The Poulsbo, Washington native qualified for the award with her Distance, Medley, Relay (DMR) time at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (11:20.20).

Jobes, a senior psychology major with a 3.57 GPA, placed fifth at the Stanford Invitational in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:03.05. Her time ranked 20th nationally in the West Region.

Kendrick, a 2025 graduate with a degree in health studies, recorded a 3.95 GPA. The Missoula, Montana, native posted a personal best of 10:02.65 in the 3,000m Steeplechase at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships (May 15-17) and went on to place 19th at the NCAA West Outdoor Regional (May 28-31).

Marghini graduated in May with a degree in psychology and a 3.30 GPA . A native of London, England, Marghini qualified for USTFCCCA for her DMR time of 11:20.20.

Robertson, a junior health studies major with a 4.0 GPA posted a personal best in the 800-meter dash at the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 2:04.31. She placed second in the event.

Boise State Men –
Â
Helms qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships in Oregon where he earned Second Team All-America honors. The Project Management major won the Mountain West Championship in men's decathlon with 7673 points. Helms also claimed the heptathlon title with a score of 5650.

Apperson graduated in May with a Master of Business Administration degree and a 3.71 GPA. A native of Adna, Washington, Apperson recorded a top-30 finish at the 2025 NCAA Division I West First Round in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:00.11, 28th place).

Graham-Marr graduated in May with a Master of Kinesiology degree and a 3.47 GPA. The Stirling, Scotland native placed first in the 800-meter dash at the Ed Jacoby Twilight hosted at Boise State and recorded a time of 1:50.30.

 Hudson graduated in May with a business administration degree with a concentration in finance. The Malham, England native posted a 3.67 GPA while recording a personal-best time in the 10,000m dash at the Stanford Invitational (5th, 28:23.68).
