Boise State to Play USC in First Round of 2025 Southwest Maui Invitational Chaminade

Broncos and Trojans will play on Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. MT on ESPN2


BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's basketball will face USC in the opening round of the 2025 Southwest Maui Invitational Chaminade, it was announced on Tuesday.
 
Playing in game two of the tournament, the Broncos and Trojans will square off on Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. MT inside the Lahaina Civic Center on ESPN2. The contest will mark the first time the two teams have gone head-to-head in program history.  
 
Boise State's appearance in the Maui Invitational will be its first, while USC has competed in the tournament on two previous occasions (1999, 2012). The Trojans have compiled a 3-4 all-time record in the event.
 
Both head coaches enter the Maui Invitational with previous experience. Boise State head coach Leon Rice served an assistant coach for three of Gonzaga's trips to Maui (2002, 2005, 2009), while USC head coach Eric Musselman was at the helm for Arkansas' appearance in 2022.
