BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball cruised to a 77-40 victory over Wyoming at ExtraMile Arena on Wednesday night.

The victory was highlighted by a season-high bench performance as Boise State (13-5, 4-3 Mountain West) recorded 37 to win its third-straight game. Tatum Thompson also notched her fifth double-double of the season.

Dani Bayes put the Broncos on the board first with a driving layup at the 7:48 mark. Wyoming (4-12, 1-6) responded nearly 40 seconds later with a jumper from Jane Rumpf, but Bayes answered with a 3-pointer on the next possession. The Cowgirls went scoreless for more than three minutes before Henna Sandvik knocked down a 3-pointer.

Both teams got hot late in the quarter, as Wyoming connected on three-consecutive field goals while Boise State scored four-straight. Tatum Thompson capped the quarter with a jumper as time expired to give the Broncos a 20-9 advantage.

Natalie Pasco opened the second quarter by drilling a triple. Freshman Kenna Garza followed with a drive to the rim at the 8:04 mark, but nine seconds later Wyoming's Heidur Karlsdottir answered with a layup. The Cowgirls then went four minutes without a field goal until Sandvik drove a layup in the paint.

Boise State went nearly three and a half minutes without a basket before Bayes ended the drought with a layup. Freshman Izzie Harms buried a 3-pointer with 16 seconds remaining to extend the Broncos' lead to 38-20 at the break.

Bayes paced the Broncos in the first half with 13 points and six rebounds, while Thompson added 11 points and six boards. For Wyoming, Malene Pedersen led with seven points, followed by Karlsdottir with six.

Bayes opened the third quarter with a jumper at the 9:44 mark, followed by a layup from Libby Hutton. Sandvik responded with a jumper before Pedersen knocked down a 3-pointer. Boise State went nearly three minutes without a basket before Pasco hit an and-one layup.

Another Boise State scoring drought lasted more than three and a half minutes, only ended with a Garza layup before Josee Steadman added one of her own as the Broncos took a 50-31 lead into the final quarter.

Izzie Harms opened the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer, followed by a Wyoming layup. Garza then connected from beyond the arc, her first of three 3-pointers in the quarter.

The Broncos' freshmen went a perfect five-for-five from 3-point range in the quarter, including another triple from Harms, as Boise State closed the game on a 21-5 run over the final seven minutes to secure the 77-40 win.
