BOISE, Idaho – Boise State posted a season-high 195.250 in front of a record-breaking crowd to finish second in its home-opening quad meet. The Broncos defeated Air Force (194.225) and Sacramento State (193.425) but were edged by Utah State (195.350) in front of a program-record 2,986 fans. Freshman Isabella Delarosa shared the beam crown, posting a career-best 9.825 to earn her first-career victory.

Boise State opened with a 48.750 on vault, the highest score of the first rotation and highest on the apparatus. The Broncos were led by sophomores Noelle Ball and Bridget Kemp, who tied for third at 9.775.

Ball also paced the Blue and Orange on bars, tallying another 9.775 to set a season-high. She was backed by freshman Miraya Nero, who earned a 9.750 to help the Broncos notch a 48.675 and hold the lead through two events.

Three Broncos set or matched a season or career-high in the beam rotation, including Delarosa, the event's co-champion. Also setting a career-high mark was senior Brantley Lucas (9.700), with sophomore Kristina Shchennikova adding a 9.775 to match her season-best score. Boise State tallied a season-high 48.750 on the apparatus, also earning the top score of the night.

Boise State saved its best performance for last, notching a season-high 49.075 on floor, its highest score on any apparatus this season. Fifth year Blake Pascal led the way with a season-best 9.875, tying for second and securing Boise State's top individual score on any apparatus this season. Nero posted a career-high 9.850 and sophomore Delaney Reeves backed her with a 9.825. Nero finished the night with a 39.100 all-around score, claiming second.

What's Next
Boise State returns to ExtraMile Arena for another quad meet, hosting Mountain West opponent San Jose State, as well as nonconference foes Oregon State and UC Davis. The meet will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6. It will be the My Cause Meet and Alumni Night.
