Lexus Williams Honored on 100 Most Impactful Mid Major Assistant Coaches List

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State assistant men's basketball coach Lexus Williams has been named to the seventh annual Silver Waves Media 100 Most Impactful Mid Major Assistant Coaches and General Managers list, it was announced.

Highlighting outstanding and widely-respected college assistant coaches and general managers, the 2026 list was compiled in consultation with a panel of industry professionals. Many who have been represented on the list in past years have gone on to become Division I head coaches.

Recognized as one of college basketball's top conferences, the Mountain West is heavily represented. In total, there are 19 coaches from 10 member institutions who received the honor.

Originally joining the coaching staff prior to the start of the 2021-22 campaign, Williams is in his fifth season with the program. He is a key contributor in player development, both on and off the court, and has responsibilities in scouting and recruiting.

During his four-plus seasons, Williams has been part of a staff that has guided the team to a 108-45 (.706) mark. In that span, the Broncos have made three NCAA Tournament appearances and were participants in the inaugural College Basketball Crown.

In his playing days, Williams spent three collegiate seasons at Valparaiso before suiting up for Boise State in his final year. He started all 32 games played for the Broncos in 2017-18 and averaged 9.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from three.
