Broncos Drop Season Opener in Cedar City

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Boise State gymnastics opened the 2026 season at Southern Utah on Friday, falling to the Flippin' Birds, 195.675-194.300. The Broncos' strongest rotation was vault, where they tied SUU's score of 48.775. Boise State was led by junior Julia Krzywanski, who earned a 9.825 to finish second on the apparatus.

The Broncos improved or matched each score throughout the bars rotation, finishing with a 48.575. Senior Kylee Hamby capped the event with a team-high 9.800, her first action since 2024 NCAA Regionals.

In the floor rotation, Blake Pascal started her fifth year with a team-best 9.800, tying for fifth as Boise State registered a team score of 48.250. The Blue and Orange closed the night with a strong showing on beam, recording a 48.700. Krzywanski and Kristina Shchennikova had the Broncos' best scores, both tallying a 9.775 to tie for fifth.
