The Spartans have totaled 13 MW weekly awards this season, led by five-time winner Sophie Patterson (two vault, three freshman).

SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE: Arizona State enters with an NQS of 195.440, ranking 32nd in the nation. The Sun Devils' top NQS is a 49.065 on floor, led by all-arounder Kimberly Smith (9.855), who also leads the squad on vault (9.820) and bars (9.850). Head coach Jay Santos is in his 10th season at the helm, leading the team to seven NCAA Regional berths and winning a pair of Pac-12 Coach of the Year awards.

SCOUTING SACRAMENTO STATE: Sacramento State scored a season-best 194.550 in its last meet (Feb. 22), bringing its NQS to 193.775. The Broncos and Hornets met in Boise on Jan. 30, with Boise State winning, 195.250-193.425. Kara Houghton boasts the top NQS scores on the team, leading the squad on floor (9.805) and bars (9.790).

BROUGHT IT ON BARS: In the first rotation at Utah State (Feb. 20), Boise State posted a season-best 49.050 on bars. Mahleea Werline led the way with a season-high 9.850, with Carly Buell and Noelle Ball tallying season-bests of their own at 9.825. Kristina Shchennikova added another 9.825, then Kylee Hamby rounded out the rotation with a 9.725. This was the first time the Broncos scored 9.825 or better on four bars routines since the 2025 Mountain West Championships.

BEAM QUEENS: Boise State had its best rotation of the season at the Feb. 15 Metroplex Challenge, scoring 49.125 on beam. Miraya Nero and Kristina Shchennikova led the way at 9.900, both posting career-highs and becoming the first Broncos to tally a 9.900 in any event this season. This was the first time the team had multiple 9.900+ beam scores in a meet since the 2024 Mountain West Championships. Sydney Kho (9.875) and Brantley Lucas (9.700) matched their career-highs while Isabella Delarosa rounded out the lineup with a 9.750.

WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS: Following their performances at the Feb. 15 Metroplex Challenge, Miraya Nero and Kristina Shchennikova were named Mountain West Co-Beam Specialists of the Week, with Nero adding MW Co-Freshman of the Week. Nero has three MW weekly awards this season, most on the team. This was Shchennikova's first weekly honor of the year and ninth of her career, with four of those being MW Beam Specialist of the Week.

FANTASTIC FRESHMAN: Miraya Nero was also named Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Week after her Jan. 16 performance at BYU, where she won the all-around crown with a 39.075 and tied for second on beam with a 9.825. She posted a career-high 9.850 on floor and 39.100 in the all-around in the Jan. 30 home quad, Boise State's best all-around score since 2021 (Hope Masiado). She was the vault runner-up at the Metroplex Challenge on Feb. 15, scoring 9.850, Boise State's highest mark on the apparatus this season. At Utah State, she captured her second all-around crown, scoring 39.000. She is the first Boise State freshman to win two all-around titles since 2017 (Courtney McGregor).

KRISTINA KEEPS IT GOING: Kristina  Shchennikova won a share of the bars crown in Boise State's Feb. 6 quad, recording a 9.875, Boise State's highest individual score of the year. It gave the sophomore her first-career win on the apparatus. She has four overall wins in her career, posting three on beam last season. She is the only gymnast on the Boise State roster with a title in multiple events in her career. With her 9.675 floor debut at the Feb. 15 Metroplex Challenge, she joins all-around gymnast Miraya Nero as the only Broncos to compete in three or more events this season. Sydney Leitch is the only other Bronco to compete in three or more events in her career (bars, beam, floor).

SEASON-BESTS AT THE X: In addition to a team-high overall score (195.350), Boise State notched a season-best score on vault (48.850) in the Feb. 6 home quad. The vault score was obtained despite only having five routines, with all five scoring 9.750 or higher. Additionally, Kristina Shchennikova won the bars crown with a 9.875 while Kylee Hamby (9.850) matched her season-high and Carly Buell posted a 9.800 on the apparatus.

FLOURISHING ON FLOOR: Boise State posted a season-best 49.075 on floor in the Jan. 30 home quad, led by Blake Pascal, who finished second with a 9.875. Pascal has scored 9.800 or higher and led the Broncos in five meets this year. Miraya Nero added a career-high 9.850 while Delaney Reeves posted a 9.825, the second-best mark of her career.

LOCAL LEGENDS: Freshmen and Meridian, Idaho natives Isabella Delarosa and Sydnie Whipple have made an early impact on their hometown team. Delarosa competed at home for the first time on Jan. 30, scoring 9.825 on beam to earn a share of the event title, the first of her career. The following week, she posted a career-high 9.800 on vault, Boise State's highest score in the Feb. 6 home quad. Whipple earned a 9.800 on beam in her second-career routine at the Feb. 20 dual at Utah State.

KHO-BOOM: Senior Sydney Kho captured her first vault title of the year and second of her career at Air Force on Jan. 23, tallying a season-high 9.825. The senior has appeared in Boise State's vault lineup in all but two meets since joining the Broncos, completing 42 routines on the apparatus.

CHAMPIONSHIP STAGE: One season after winning the inaugural Mountain West Championships, Boise State won the 2025 MW regular season crown. The Broncos had the league's top NQS on bars (49.240), beam (49.080) and floor (49.105) last year. This season, the Broncos will host the Mountain West Championships in ExtraMile Arena.

BIRD BACK WITH THE BRONCOS: Head coach Tina Bird is in her 19th season at the helm, serving as co-head coach from 2008-19 before becoming the lone head coach in 2020. From 1990-2007, she was an assistant coach for Boise State. Bird was a gymnast at Boise State from 1986-89, holding the school's floor record for four years. In her 36 years on staff, Boise State has produced 34 NCAA Regional appearances, 15 conference titles and 13 All-Americans. Bird has earned the conference coach of the year eight times, including the last two awards in the Mountain West.

ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST RETURNERS: Boise State returns three All-Mountain West selections from last season, led by Co-Freshman of the Year Kristina Shchennikova, who was also a second-team selection on bars. She earned MW Freshman of the Week five times and MW Beam Specialist of the Week three times throughout the 2025 campaign, winning three beam titles during her rookie year. Also coming back for the Broncos are two All-MW floor selections. First-team honoree Blake Pascal returns for her fifth year and second-team honoree Bridget Kemp is back for her sophomore campaign. Pascal has four-career wins on floor with Kemp adding two.
